These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of alestack.com ("the Site") and its newsletter, curricula, and membership services. By using the Site or creating a membership you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
What ALE Stack is
ALE Stack publishes educational content about career capital: a daily brief, structured curricula, interactive modules, and workbooks. Free members receive the brief; paid members additionally get access to the curricula and workbooks.
Educational content, not financial advice
Everything on this Site, including curricula that discuss compensation, equity, investing, and personal finance, is provided for educational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security or asset. We are not your financial advisor, and no advisor–client relationship is created by your use of the Site. Before acting on anything you learn here, consider your own situation and, where appropriate, consult a qualified professional.
Your account
Sign-in is passwordless: we email you a secure one-time link. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email address and for keeping the email address on your account accurate. Don't share sign-in links with others.
Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
- Paid memberships are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time from your account page; your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Prices may change; we'll notify you before a change affects an existing subscription.
- If a payment fails repeatedly, your paid access may be suspended.

Intellectual property and acceptable use
All content on the Site, text, curricula, modules, workbooks, graphics, and the ALE Stack name and mark, is owned by ALE Stack and protected by copyright. Your membership grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the content for your own learning. You agree not to:
- share, republish, resell, or redistribute members-only content, workbooks, or sign-in links;
- use the content to build a competing product or dataset, including for training machine-learning models;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Site.
Quoting brief excerpts with attribution and a link is welcome.
Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and online, but we make no warranties that the content is error-free or that access will be uninterrupted. Content reflects our views at the time of writing and may become outdated.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ALE Stack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content, including financial or investment decisions you make. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify members by email or a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
